gehgassi requires the following data:

  • Your first and last name (complete and spelled out) Only the first name and the first letter of the last name are displayed in the app.
  • Your address
  • Your date of birth

A gehgassi profile is free for both dog owners and dog walkers.

When booking a walk/sitting, the dog owner will incur a transaction fee from the payment provider (approximately 1% of the agreed price).

A service fee of 1 EUR will be charged to the dog walker.

By making all bookings through the app, you ensure that we can provide you with the best support in case of any issues. You can choose the right person for you and your furry friend based on reviews and qualifications.

We generally recommend arranging an initial meeting with the caregiver to get acquainted and to see how well the chemistry is between the dog lover and your dog.

Our reminder function ensures that you never forget an appointment. Soon, a map with important locations in your area will also be available. Additionally, the gehgassi app will regularly feature discounts from our partner organizations.

Since payment is processed digitally, you must be at least 18 years old. Additionally, it’s important that you are confident and responsible when handling dogs. If you’re unsure whether you’re up to the task, we recommend arranging a meeting with the dog owner to practice handling the dog.

NO, you do not need your own dog to walk dogs through gehgassi. However, if you have your own dog, you can take other dogs on your walk, provided you have cleared this with the owner.

YES, provided it is cleared with the owners.

With the “Availability for Walks” feature, caregivers can be booked directly without needing a prior request from dog owners.

When you, as a caregiver, provide your availability, you can be booked during that period without having to confirm the booking separately.

NOTE: A direct booking is considered binding!

You will receive your payment after you have completed the walk or sitting IN the app and the dog owner has confirmed that the service was successfully completed. Dog owners pay the amount at the time of booking, and our payment provider holds the funds for you until confirmation.

NOTE: We can only guarantee receipt of your payment if the booking is made through the gehgassi app!

During the KYC check, the profile data is compared with the data on the uploaded ID card. If this data is NOT identical, the KYC check will be rejected. The following data is compared:

  • First name (complete)
  • Last name (complete)
  • E-Mail
  • Day of birth (at least 18 years)
  • Nationality
  • Country of residence

To increase the visibility of your need, we recommend creating a “Public Request.” This request will be displayed on the home screen of all walkers and sitters and will also be sent as a push notification, allowing as many suitable individuals as possible to apply to your request.

If you, as a dog owner, cannot find a suitable caregiver directly or if no walker/sitter has availability at your desired times, a “Public Request” is the perfect solution.

You can choose your preferred candidate and accept their offer with a single click. Afterward, payment must be made directly in the app, otherwise, the booking will be automatically canceled after one hour.

If a caregiver has set availability for your desired times, you can book them directly without needing their confirmation. After booking, payment must be made directly in the app. Only after the booking is paid will the caregiver receive a notification and be able to view all details (address, message from the dog owner, etc.). If the booking is not paid within one hour in the app, it will be automatically canceled.

If your preferred walker has not set their availability, you can request them with a click. The walker will then receive your request and can either accept or decline it. If the walker accepts your request, you have one hour to pay for the booking, otherwise it will be canceled.

You pay at the time of booking the walk or sitting. However, the money is held by our payment provider until you confirm IN the app that the service has been successfully completed. Only after this confirmation will the money be transferred to the caregiver’s wallet. If the service is not confirmed within a week and no complaint has been received, the confirmation will be processed automatically.

If the payment is not made immediately, dog owners have 60 minutes to complete the payment; otherwise, the booking will be automatically canceled.

NOTE: This security measure applies only to bookings made directly through the app!
